Specialization : Broadcasting and Film, Persuasive Communication & Journalism
The Communication Programme offered by the School of Communication aims at producing graduates with broad knowledge and critical understanding of media and communications. The programme is also intended to equip students to apply their conceptual understanding and theoretical knowledge at the workplace. The School of Communication offers three areas of specializations namely Film & Broadcasting, Journalism and Persuasive Communication.
The Film & Broadcasting specialization integrates critical and analytical knowledge of screen studies with practical skills in audio, video and film production. Meanwhile, journalism students will go through a unique and engaging learning experience encompassing the theoretical knowledge of journalism as well as essential skills in writing, reporting, photojournalism and desktop publishing. Thirdly, Persuasive Communication is a specialization that focuses on different aspects of persuasion and influence. It uniquely integrates advertising, public relations, public communication campaign and event management.
